1. UNITY: KASE unites public employees and retirees under their own statewide organization.
2. GOVERNANCE: Each member of the KASE board of directors is a frontline public employee, and each is a volunteer - none of them is paid for their service to KASE.
3. ADVOCACY: KASE is NOT a club or a professional association. KASE is an independent, membership driven, advocacy organization.
4. SUCCESS: KASE has a proven record of success. Kentucky legislators give KASE credit for protecting your personnel rights and fighting successfully for the issues most important to you.
5. SPECIALIZED: KASE specializes in public employee issues and concerns.
6. INFLUENCE: While KASE is NOT a labor union, we do partner with multiple organizations to protect your benefits, including pay, health care benefits, retirement security and workplace rights.
7. FAMILY: KASE members are treated like family members. We want to hear from you about the issues that are affecting you. Your information will remain CONFIDENTIAL!!! (unless required by law).
8. COST: KASE dues are less than 50 cents per day, and only $12 per month.
9. PROTECTION: KASE members are eligible for Legal Defense Aid at no additional cost.
10. DEFENSE: KASE members can get personnel advice through the KASE Chief Steward Assistance Program and legal assistance through the KASE Legal Defense Fund Program.
